Every time I start my computer, I have to wait for about 30 seconds after Windows has finished to load to be able to connect to the internet. The desktop is there, there is not CPU or disk activity and then after some time, all programs that use internet (ZoneAlarm, MSN, Network connection icon) appears and then I can connect to the internet. If I try to connect before the icons appears, nothing happens. Sometimes, Windows just freeze there and won't even shutdown, I have to reset the computer.

I am using Win XP SP2 now, but I had the same problem when I had Win 2000 on that same machine.

TIA
