>I don't gamble. When it comes to software tools I feel it is better to use a product that has a positive track record. Let someone else find the problems with a new released product rather than let your client tell you there is a problem. :)

I was very careful when I migrated my stuff from 2.0 to 2.6... then just as careful when I migrated from 5 to 6, then less worried about switching to 7... and had no worries at all switching to 8. VFP just has a good track record with having fewer and fewer problems with each new version.

That means, the apps just kept working without having to fix much, or with no fixes at all. New features weren't perfect, though, but they didn't break anything either. I'd be even less worried when it comes to switch to 9.
