Roy -
as great as VFP v9 is -
if I were you -
I would WAIT on releasing commercial-grade apps with it until :
1. VFP 9 is officially released; you obtain *that* version, and compile/test with the released version. OR
2. Wait until any service packs are released for VFP 9, then apply them, and release your product with VFP 9 sp ....

I've been bitten too many times by the dot 0 release of products - so in my mileau I wait until the *next* version is 'said to be stable' .

Relying on the beta version, imo, at this stage of your development cycle, is a good cause for failure.

As IS, though, I do love da Fox - so when 9 proves to be stable, I'll be deploying versions of our apps with it.

As Great as Version 9 is/could be [who knows? it ain't released yet] - are you willing, personally and collectively as a company [America Computer Consultants], to take on all of the liability with your clients for deploying apps on a 'yet-to-be-released' version of a compiler? I wouldn't do that, regardless of who the vendor was or WHAT the compiler was.

the above was opinion based on personal experience - perhaps other folksen will punch good technical holes in it.
