Hi Robin,

Do you have a SELECT on the same table (and only that table... no others involved in the SELECT)?
If so, you may have a filtered result set on your hands... behind the scenes the table itself is used with a filter to provide the equivalent of teh "result set".

You can use the NOFILTER clause on the SELECT if you are using VFP7 or later.
