Bill,
If bad for the community is represented by providing lots of peer support, authoring 2 Fox books, authoring an MSDN white paper, giving LOADS of code away in the process of helping people, giving numerous conference presentations, and authoring many, many articles - than I guess I am bad.
I find it interesting that you offered to help guide people though the whitepaper maze - when you never went through it yourself.
Your contributions thusfar have been promises to help with whitepapers - with no delivery.
And just to clarify for you and the rest of your johnny-come-lately friends think you are the only ones "fighting the good fight"... There was NOBODY that was a bigger supporter and advocate for VFP than myself. And....when I had the opportunity to express my concerns, I made those opportunities count. First, about 5-6 years ago, there was a disparaging article on Fox in Software Development magazine. In a nutshell, my concerns were published in the letters to the editor. Second, when I had concerns over VFP, I took the opportunity to ask Bill Gates about Fox. His answer was crystal clear - and from that day on - I knew - at least in my opinion - it was a lost cause.
Please...don't tell me that I am "bad" for the community. Indeed, some may disagree with what I say - but that is not a bad thing.
