Are you using VFP3.0? I seem to recall a similar problem with 3.0, but do not believe I encoutered it in 5.0.
Anyway, the way to eliminate it is to rest the picture property to default. Merely deleting it does not do the job, but resetting it to default seems to erase the link.
Try it and let me know if it works.
