why not instead:
1. sign the non-disclosure with the original vendor.
2. pay for the source code from the original vendor.=> Not sure if they will agree, a big customer here wants the program to be customized according to there needs.
3. read the source code in its 'original' language.

This software is pretty good, but cannot cater all customers needs. Actually its a globally used acounting software. It was written in C++...
