>I read all Bill's messages more or less immediately after he wrote them, and I was shocked. I have not taken the time to go back and read through all the different message afterwards since this has become a very large thread. From the different comments from other persons yesterday and today, I came to the obviously wrong understanding that his messages had been removed. Considering the vocabulary in Bill's original messages, I would have supported censorship in this case, but nobody has any reason to think that I am narrowminded just because of that. His original messages could easily have given him a much harder punishment than being banned from here. 'Nuff said'

Yes, it is in deed a very large thread for a small topic that has started. On some occasions, a thread could go simply off the scope in a very short period of time.

Yes, some would support it. I just don't. Even if other Web sites would do it, we prefer to leave all the content as is. That occured recently when someone posted an information about another member which was not suppose to be posted. Another instance was posting some NDA stuff about a product about to be released, for example, where we will simply not interfere with the content. Our Terms & Conditions states however that we will adjust a message for its layout and typos for example. We can also move a thread to another category or in another forum if we judge as satisfactory that it would fit better in there. Sometimes, I will write a better title as when you see a title "Please, help", it is extremely useless and limits the chances of the user to get support. I will also adjust messages sometimes to add the PRE tag that still many members tend to forget when they add some code in there message.
