I pondered this as I worked on the datagrid last night and I think that you're spot on, actually. Once the timesheet is submitted, officially, it won't be edited, so data warehousing it as it's submitted is absolutely the right thing to do.

I feel a bit like a bonehead for not having grokked that before. Especially since the tasks may change over time, but that shouldn't affect past timesheets. Doh.
