Honestly, the claim of possible "professional negligence" is an interesting one.
Should .NET, in say the next 2 years, be supplanted by some new MS 'latest and greatest', would those who have "promoted" .NET solutions also be guilty of same?

At the rate MS supplants it's latest technologies (how many flavours of COM were there?) might there not be at least a tad of legitimacy in, say, skipping a revolution and holding on to whats stable and works well in the interim?
