>Hiya Ken. Although I agree that Denis has killed VFP his post is not, I think, incorrect. You have made it clear in the past that VFP will not be marketed outside of the VFP community. At least that is the impression I am under and apparently a number of other members are to. Is this a failure in communication or is VFP being marketed outside the current userbase?
There is some confusion in this thread. It has never been said by Microsoft that we market Visual FoxPro only to the VFP community. It has been said that VFP marketing is not done to the extend taht Visual Studio is.
When VFP 8.0 was released, there was a major Microsoft PressPass article read by journalists world-wide, VFP 8.0 release, SP1, and other news has been mentioned in MSDN Flash email newsletters sent to hundreds of thousands of non-VFP developers, VFP news, on the msdn.com home page, and interview in SDTimes.com recently read by many people outside of the VFP community. You cannot say VFP is marketed to the community only, and I have never said that. VFP marketing has been the same for many years will remain the same as comapred to Visual Studio marketing.
