Of course, there are several alternatives.
For a single table, I sort of like the following design: Grid on the top half, editing controls on the bottom half of a form.
For one-to-many scenarios, the same for each table, having each table on a separate Page in a PageFrame - or on a separate form.
The child part (in a separate page, or form) will show all the children that correspond to the parent, which the user selected in the other page or form.
Of course, you can put everything in a single page. But things do tend to get a little cramped.
