Hi Mike,
I have the same problem like Miroslav with your VFE sampes,VM framework ,cipher50.dll and VFX samples too.
I think a reasen is in when you compare field value with encrypted password string you shoud use SET NOCPTRAN TO where field is field with cipher password.
