These age references achieve nothing. John is a repeat-published author, magazine columnist, and was presenting at conferences in his early 30's (and maybe even earlier). I attended almost every major conference in the '90's, and consistently viewed him as one of the better speakers. And then he got a law degree. Pretty impressive for a 'kid'.
There are more things to being 'grown up' than just the physical aging process.
