It really doesn't matter whether VFP lives or dies. Or whether we are continuing to be competitive by learning the new tools. Since all programming will probably be done in India within the next 10 years the surviving development tool will be whatever they choose to use over there and that may not even be MSFT (although I suspect that it will). The question should probably be not
why haven't you switched to .net yet? but rather
why haven't you moved to India yet?
