>Do you use an IDE? I believe Cafe and Jbuilder should have a tracer. Its been a while since Ive done java, but depending on the container used, the trace could be set in the configuration file ( similar to asp.ent).

Thanks for replying.

I downloaded and installed the j2sdk1.4.2_05 (Sun). The script and objects I need to look at are from another party but require the SDK and apache for runtime. Currently, I am reading through the script - but it seems it would be a lot easier if I could just have a trace list on the taskbar that could be selected to "learn" what java objects and methods are be called while the apps are running.

I'll look through the SDK.
