I found some reproducing programs and DLL's in several temp folders which appear to have been stopping VFP 9 Beta from closing. Once I got rid of them, which was a chore in itself, VFP 9 closed just fine. My wife's daughter was on this machine (Windows 2000 server (used as a workstation) surfing the internet a few days ago; it hasn't worked the same since. There was also something that popped up saying that it needed a plug-in. I thought it was legitimate, but it was an advertising plug-in that calls more pop-up ads. So, with myself being a fool and my step-daughter's web surfing, we succeeded in breaking down this machine pretty quickly.

I still have something that comes up called Intelligent Explorer on my web browser. I think this calls pop-ups, but I am not sure. Is there anything safe that won't mess with VFP to stop all these pop-up ads?
