In reguard to the record update vs several pending record updates at one time, my issue is not validation but speed. We have some slower computers that when the record is saved before adding a new one the process takes to long. When moving between records it is really fast but as soon as you change one of the field values and move to the next record the running query dialog pops up several times before the next record recieves focus. On higher end computers this is not an issue. I just want my app code to be efficent and reliable and simple. Thanks for your help.
