I'm sorry but I forgot to mention a few other nice features about R&R that maybe someday will be in the native VFP report designer.

1. Multi-scan detail bands. You can have two or more children related to the parent and you can have the child records scanned in the detail band one right after the other. This is very easy to do in R&R.

2. You have lines within each band (including the detail band) that you can place a print condition for the entire line. For example, if you don't want a blank line if the field on the line is blank, you can set a condition on the line not to print the line if the field is blank. The condition can be based off of any calculated field that returns a logical.

These are two "biggies" that I can think of off the top of my head. I sure hope the SQL version is faster because I really like all of the features R&R has. I have been using it since my Clipper days and it has saved me countless hours of work, not to mention the ease to create really complex reports.
