Very well said. Just another reason I like reading your posts. It's enough to bring a tear to George Orwell's eye...

>You are starting to sound like all those people that migrated to the U.S. 200 years ago. You think you should have rights and freedom or something and be accepting of different viewpoints and the right to voice them. You think the sharing of knowledge, experience, and ideas is a good thing. I seem to remember that in U.S. history (and other countries as well), there were many people whose viewpoints the majority did not agree with and yet they were not silenced. Oh yeah, that's right they were and that is why they left and started a new settlement someplace else...

>>Hi Martin,
>>
>>But that's the problem. It shouldn't be kept private. A couple things you said disturb me. Things like sensitive messages, complaints from other members (sic) and discomfort are all very (very, very) subjective. I'm complaining that it was unfair and that doesn't seem to matter. Other's make posts asking for the removal of someone because they are annoyed and nothing is said. In fact my saying that it seems unfair seems to be a bigger problem to UT then the post(s) asking for John's removal.
>>
>>Nothing personal, but your post is a very politically-correct regurgitation of Michel's opinion.

>>>Hi, Jay.
>>>
>>>The members banned from Universal Thread were very few in its entire history. Just three, exactly. They received the appropriate warning about being breaking the web site rules, and they went on with this behaviour. In all cases, an investigation was open, and the decision involves consensus of all the UT team.
>>>
>>>Part of this involves an abnormal amount of sensitive messages, complains for other members, and general problems and discomfort on the membership as a whole.
>>>
>>>Bad attitude and uncompliant behavior affects both our community as a good place to share mostly technical information, and UT as an institution, by damaging our image.
>>>
>>>Universal Thread is a private company, and there are some rights that we keep for ourselves. If you analyze the history of our service, you will find very little actions that could be considered censorship or any other kind of dictatorial behavior.
>>>
>>>Anyway, we appreciate every member opinion an worries about our service as it is widely open and we consider very seriously its community aspect.
>>>
>>>In this regards, I invite you to keep discussing this topic privately any time you want.
>>>
>>>Best regards,
