VFP8 SP1 (on WinXP SP1)
This just started happening in the last 2 weeks. This does not happen on every procedure file. But for the ones where this does happen, it happens every time.
I will edit a procedure file, then from the command window run the procedure...without closing the editor first. I am prompted as to whether I want to save my changes. Click on "YES" and receive the following error: "Cannot create file e:\data\.....\queryBuyerSales.fxp"
At this point, I have to exit VFP and come back in. If I don't exit VFP, I cannot delete the .FXP file. Attempting to delete the .fxp file from the command prompt gives the message "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process".
This is happening on procedure files that are not a part of "SET PROCEDURE TO..." Also, I've had this happen on files that contained more than one function, and also on files that only contained one function (the same name as the file itself).
Deleting foxuser.* made no difference.
Final note: if I exit the editor (and save changes) before I try to run the procedure, there is no problem. However, I'm not in the habit of doing this.
Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing this?
Thanks,
Steve Gibson
