I have been asked to look into writing a program that will capture incoming and outgoing calls on an AT&T Partner II phone system. The phone system can put out an SMDR (station message detail recording) info to a printer. The information is sent out on a 1200 baud serial interface.

My client wants to have the new system capture that data and store it in a database. Anyone done something like this before?
