I think the idea of the taskpane (and the interaction of similar stuff in the visual studio IDE ) shows that the direction is toward using the web as a resource.

The assumption ( correct or incorrect ) in registering XP or office on install, for example, is the user is on-line.

That assumption is probably even more justified in a developer product.

While any further examples, documentation or whatever bundled with the product would be welcome ( though I think better tutorials on using SQL server as a back end would be more on point ) I think just a section in the taskpane linking to resources would do the trick. Besides, most of the really cool stuff I've learned how to do in Fox ( or much of anything else ) have been things I've learned while looking up something else < s >

I don't think anyone who really needed interop or was interested in using VFP as a middle tier for an asp .net app would have much trouble finding the resources. If they found that too challenging they would probably find actually doing it pretty challenging too. < g >

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
