You are going to have to isolate what specific things are causing the memory consumption. The only time I've ever seen VFP consume those sorts of levels of memory is in cartesian joins of large tables. If your cursors are on the order of a few K then it's doubtful that this is the problem.
have you applied SP1?
When does the memory footprint increase? is it gradual or rather fast? what is the state of your temp directory at the time? What O/S?
