I figured out one way of getting it hooked back up, but that blew away the history (in source safe).
How do I get source safe to update the vca, without blowing away the history?

It's not VSS that generates/updates the VCAs etc - it's the routine run by VFP (Tools/Options/Projects/Text Generation). How are you checking in the files ?
