My gut feeling is the problem is going to go away in 9 just because the reports are going to be so different.

I have never seen it in development. The only place I have ever seen this is runtime and only once in a while. Not very often. It must be something we are doing in the window because if it this rare then, it must be how we are handling the report or something.

When it happens in the field it, looks just like you would type MODI REPORT from the command window. The window that comes up is the report designer. You can move fields around, see fields, change fonts, etc. The menu at the top even becomes alive and looks and feels just like VFP's menu.

I think I am going to try a couple of things on the window and sit and wait to see if that takes care of the problem. I know 9 is coming and when that hits the market we are going to have to re-write (or change) our reports anyway. So between VFP9 and some other things we want to do to our reports we may never see this problem again. If I am still having the problem with 9 then I can debug it as well. I am going to rem out the SET SYSMENU commands and see what happens.

Thanks for all the help. If anything in the report changes I will post it, but it may take a while before I hear about it or see the problem again.
