I trying to take a first stab in replicating data to a new webserver. I can get the new server registered but when I try to set up a publication I am recieveing the error :

error 18482 "Could not connect to server x because x is not defined as a remote server."

The part that I don't get is that server X is the original name of the server that I am trying to setup as a publisher. What could be trying to reference the old name of the server? What can I do to get around this?
