OK Rod, here's my follow up reply just for the sake of playing devil's advocat:

>1. Michel never gave JVP specific reason why he was banned.

You dont know this. You choose to believe your friends version. An admirable trait but not proof in itself.

>2. Michel contacted other members of this forum about JVP in regards to his banning.

Again, do you know this for a fact or do you assume it or believe it as told to you third hand. Even if true it what does it say? What was the content of those contacts?

>3. Michel accused JVP of some pretty harsh stuff that is baseless and untrue.
> (this is if I am to believe JVP which I do 100%)

I am not aware of what all JVP stands accused of. And the fact that you choose to believe JVP 100% is niether here nor there. What and who you choose to believe does not itself convert that into facts.

>4. Michel seems to lack the ability to respond to peoples queries to why JVP was banned.

I can envision many scenarios where it would be inappropiate for various reasons to discuss such things outside of the two parties involved.

>5. I dont subscribe to the idea that he's been a swell guy so far.FWIW this is a community and not just a business. Michel is not the community --
> we are.

You say swell, I say they have "run the UT in a decent and even manner over the years". The fact that the UT is a community does not mean it must act in whatever way you think a comunity should act. We can dance around these opinions all day if you like.

>6. It's pretty disrespectful to not give a person specific reasons why he/she got banned.

The UT apparently doesn't have to and if someone has issue with that, or any other rule, then they are free to not be here. And that they didn't give specific reasons doesn't mean they don't exist.

Like JVP would say, if you are going to argue for him then argue the facts and not your beliefs, or opinions, or preferences, or ideas. All I say is that we dont know what all the facts are. I dont think anyone outside UT management really do. And therefore any conclusion or judgement one makes is made on incomplete or partial information. If thats good enough for you then fine. I was only offering an opinion about it iro of that UT management have not shown an unfair bias in the past and that should give them some credit now.

Any questions ?
