Not sure this applies, but could it be you have some of the old indexes lying around? Specially indexes with the same name as the alias of the view? It's been nearly ten years since I last used index on ... of {cdx filename}, but the last time I got an equally strange error mentioning non-structural indexes, that was it.
Try to create a new temp folder and set tmpfiles in your config.fpw to it. If I'm right, the error should vanish.
