Paul,

But what is the ControlSource? What is launching the other form?

VFP does not commit the textbox value change to the ControlSource until the end of the Valid event. But VFP isn't going to change the textbox.value on it's own either. The sort of thing you are seeing usually requires code somewhere. But it's also possible that you are seeing a bug in the beta.

>Each form has a private datasession. The only nondefault properties are the name of the object, controlsource, inputmask, fontsize, width, top, height, left. I was thinking maybe it could be a refresh issue, and I put a messagebox in the refresh to see if it occurs when I click back on the form, but it doesn't get called. I'm using VFP 9. Like I said, if you tab off the control before opening a new form, the changes stay when you click back to the first form. Its very odd.
