First thing to check is that there's no code in the valid of your subclassed listbox. Just rightclick Valid in the PEM window and Reset To Default. You may have accidentally inserted a space or an empty line there, and it may appear empty.

Once this is out of the way, then... I'll be puzzled as to why would this be happening.
