I would hope your grandson went the way of Ernhard Jr. too.

I have a 7yr old at home now and I am not positive I would even recommend this field to her. She does have a computer now and took to it like a fish to water.

But I digress... I know some people's messages here seem to drone on and on. I could be accused of that myself sometimes.

What my point was/is is that this is not just a VFP forum. It is a forum with many diff opinions and talents. And when people come asking for advice it will probably contain these diff opinions and talents.

The major diff between your advise to a grandson (or other family member for that matter) is that this is the type of advise people are seeking is for strategies being developed now and that have to face the realities of the market place.

I know we will not agree on whether .NET is the best for anything. I respect that. But I do ask that you respect that I have a different opinion than you do. Which in my mind you do respect that. (That is if I'm reading you correctly<g>)
