Hi barbara,

>>It really depends on how you access the database tables. If you use buffering and transactions you've minimized the risk of getting corruption. As I said, I've got to think hard to think of any corruption at all, that was not fixed with REINDEX.

>I've particularly had problems at a site that runs under Novell. They tend to have a very flaky network and in spite of the fact that I use buffering throughout their app, they still get a fair amount of data corruption.

Hmmm, Now I see where you're comming from. Earlier Novell drivers where indeed flaky and there are some documented problems with it. I'm that lucky I've got only one client working with it. The only way to prevent these problems is having the right (latest) drivers installed at every workstation. What kind of novel version ?
