>>>Done. I will be very interested to know if it works on Win 98. PDH.DLL is sitting in my System32 folder, not so sure about 98.
>>
>>got it. works on my xp machine here too. tomorrow i'll test it on a win98 machine and let u know. if the PDH.DLL does not exist there, maybe it can be copied, however, i don't know if it would work. then ofcourse there is the question if that would be legal?!

>The thing to bear in mind is that PDH.DLL is ultimately looking in the same place (as my earlier code) for the counter values i.e. HKEY_PERFORMANCE_DATA - if Win 98 does not support that, then PDH.DLL will have nothing to work with. In which case this is all for naught.
Hello Houston.
Well, i am sorry to tell you, but it does not work on a Win98 machine. the dll was missing, so i copied it into the system32 folder of the win98 computer, registered it with RegSvr32.exe, run your program, but it can not load the dll "Can't load 32bit library...".
so i think on a win98 workstation i am just fresh out of luck. :-( too bad
but thanks for your help in this matter!
