In Visual basic I can access the database (using RDO) and run the simple stored procedures but if i want to run the more complex stored procedure via ODBC it gives me an error message :

"37000 : [Microsoft]{ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] cannot open a cursor on a stored procedure that has anything other than a single select statement"

If i run same stored procedure from delphi using BDE it works fine. By the way the stored procedure runs just fine from the SQL Client too.
What is causing the error? Please help!!!
