>>As for the Arabic version thread.. Imo, it was a clear example of a thread that might have been moved in part to the chatter section. Otoh, it was a political debate and one might wonder whether the ut is a place for such debates. Or wasn't it a political debate?
>
>I moved that thread into Chatter section. However, Chatter doesn't have a "Politics" subgroup, may be we need to add it here, but on the other hand it may become too popular and too heated. I also asked Michel if there is a possibility to split that thread, because it was a pity thing to observe the originator with few technical responses amidst the political battle. I think, may be the following mechanism would work:
>
>If a thread is drifted and someone from UT management was able to catch it in time, the thread becomes frosen for some time and the last messages which are not relevant to technical question anymore are moved to a corresponding forum with a notification to all participants. However, this mechanism is also hard to implement and it is also subjective to decide, if there is a thread drift or not. Say, quite often I see some personal exchanges in threads which are already resolved. They are usually just few messages from two or three persons involved in the thread...

Nadya, I intend to start a new thread here tomorrow. I'll gonna propose a whole new way of handling T&A violations. It will also gonna deal with thread drifts. Hope you too will participate in the discussion. See you.
Groet,
Peter de Valença

Constructive frustration is the breeding ground of genius.
If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
