I can't say that I see either of the problems you mentioned if I just use a base form class and add a base container that has a base listbox and command button. Everything appears in the designer, even with the visible property set to .F., and nothing appears at runtime. Have you tried this with the base classes, adding things code and changing properties to match your form with the problem, until the problem reappears?
