my customer application (written via VFP) was using data from local folder . nowadays will add new locations to the organization. we wantto talk branch offices via ADSL connection and data path info will keep on a dbf such as \\IPNO\sharedfolder\data on branch client pc's. by this issue how is the server pc settings for answer for requests over internet and how should be the ADSL modem settings ?

PS: on adsl modems i know (if its true) with a virtual server settings we can forward to the desired pc's which is coming from port eg. remote desktop ( eg. ADSL modem static IP is 81.215.111.4 modem forwards coming from rdp port to local ip 192.168.1.100) . for VFP data's reading which port is suitable or what is the another solutions ?
