It all depends on whether it was a fixed or schedule of rates contract.
If it is a schedule of rates contract all work would be deemed to be chargeable, but ratify it with the client prior to start of works, saves problems later.
If it was a fixed price contract you should both morally and contractually fix the bugs at no charge. The exception to this is if the client is using the software outside of the design criteria, but you would have to varify this against the original spec.
Also a poorly written spec can be a financial winfall, i.e. lots of chargeable extras, but, depending on the client it can be a headache, as the clients perception of the spec can vary greatly from yours. Once again ratify prior to the start of works.
