OK, I see.

Sorry, I haven't the time to go through your well-considered message and comment on each/several parts. For my part, I'd be glad to see:

- Once the opriginal message is "well down" the discussion hierarchy, the replier cuts out the bulk of text relating to the thread 2-3 levels up, so we don't need to check all the text again for comments. (as below)
- The answer to a message goes at the top so we don't have to read through/scroll past the original (or hierarchically higher) preceding message. (as below)
