What I meant was:

1. After 2-3 responses, and a message hierarchy appears, there's no need to keep repeating the whole thread so far, merely the immediate message to which you're responding.

2. I'd rather read the response to the previous message first, rather than the previous message(s), as I already know, from the messages above, what it/they is/are.

This message is an example. I've excised all but your last message and I've put my reply above your message.
