About two months ago, I actually posted that question on the VFP forum (if there was an equivalent of scope_identity)...never got a response.

Only way that comes to mind is wrapping it in stored proc/transaction as part of the insert trigger, and retrieving the last row or max() of the identity key.

So unless there is a good equivalent of scope_identity, Reason #9912233 why I prefer SQL Server for back-end stuff.
