I'm not sure about the FFC either - perhaps someone will enlighten us. Killing the reader is, of course, optional. Acrobat has a large startup overhead, so leaving the reader open will speed up printing subsequent documents. Leaving the reader running will probably cause user questions - it's a toss up. <g>
