One more idea. Take a look at the MM SQL Passthrough cursors. You can define your own SQL statements, and I believe, change them. I actually set one up and got it working, but have since forgotten how to do it; the use of multiple view parameters(where Elmer and Cetin are arguing over the semantics) has done just about everything I need.
