http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3697286.stmStaying < cough > on-topic < cough > and from the BBC article, because of Spam abuse:
"Due to the magnitude of this problem, MSN has made the tough decision to make this protocol (and therefore Outlook/Outlook Express functionality for Hotmail) a subscription-only feature"
Lets face it the Spam abuse can only be because of people
sending Spam not receiving it. I use
http://mail.Yahoo.Com and they have some fairly simple and I imagine very effective techniques to stop people sending Spam - previously they were using
captchas but now things are even more simple, one can only send e-mail to a maximum of 100 recipients in any 60 minute period.
Obviously M.$. (aka Hotmail) are not even bright enough in this case to copy someone else’s
innovation (sic), and their best solution was to take a massively deceived and captive audience and extort money from them.
And to the UT management - the periods in M.$. above are to stop my expression of distaste for M.$. being hidden from people that auto expand acronyms.
I deeply resent UT censorship.
M.$ == Filth
censored.
