Hi Rod,

:-) "Manipulate" = add/remove items into/from it ( i.e. the Page ViewState ) like we normally do at the form level. In this case I was just trying to encapsulate the addition of a particular ViewState item in a static method to centralize and encapsulate the functionality.

Danny suggested trying to access the ViewState items in the method even though it doesn't show up in Intellisense in the method. But I feel pretty uneasy about doing this as it seems to violate encapsulation or something. Yes-no?
