It's funny you say that, because at the conferences over the years it always struck me funny that us "KS boys" usually ended up hanging out with guys from NY or otherwise from the East (not even counting the M&S group). At one point, I think about 6 from KC and 6 from NY got together to cause trouble once or twice a year for 3-4 years. Started with those stupid water guns in Phoenix, I think. Most memorable (since I was in no condition to remember most of them) was a (failed) 3 AM-ish attempt to "borrow" a flag from the (well guarded, as it turns out, go figure) Stars and Stripes when it was docked near the convention hotel in SD one year.
I always figured the NY guys only liked to hang out with us because they so enjoyed making fun of us for living in the middle of nowhere, but it was lotsa fun anyway. :)
But we digress...
>Actually, I wish I could set up shop in Lawrence Kansas. I was out there once with Rich (from M&S) back in 1996 - I'm a big Jayhawks fan (why in the world a lifetime East Coast boy would take to midwestern teams is beyond me), and I loved that town. Hated to leave...
