Hello,
Remove all other drives/CDs/DVDs/etc and plug it into the secondary IDE connection (I am assuming it is IDE) with the drive set a single (or master if that is what the manufacturer says to do in the single drive configuration). If it is recognized in BIOS then cable it to the primary IDE connection. If it is then seen in BIOS check the piece of hardware which is set as the slave on IDE 0. Otherwise, you may want to test your motherboard with another drive on IDE 0 jumpered as a master.
