The ReportListener is on the form, I guess it's session must be the form's session.

If you're getting this listener through OBJECT TYPE clause or otherwise through REPORTOUTPUT.APP, this may not be true, especially with the component refresh.

Your SET TALK OFF might not even have been in the right session -- this is what concerns me...

I don't know. I know that the ReportListener runs it's own session, but I don't know how to acces it.

That would be the ReportListener.FrxDataSsesion property <s>.

In general, since you're working with the ReportListener class, you will want to read the OA.HTM file from your reporting release notes to learn about its properties and behavior <s>.

This is why I'm concerned that the report listener may not be in the same session as the other sessions involved -- which further increases my concern about exactly WHICH data session everything (including data-session-scoped SET statements) might be happening in! <s>.
