Using VFP8 SP1 on WinXP SP1

Okay, I've narrowed it down.

If I:
Create testing.prg file in a directory other than my current VFP directory
MODIFY COMMAND that program
make a change to the program, but don't exit the editor
from command window, attempt to run the program running it as a function:
? testing()
Answer "yes" when asked to save changes

I receive a message that says "Unable to create file ....\testing.fxp". Have to exit out of VFP and come back in. Works fine if I close the editor and save changes before running program.

This happens under all of the following circumstances:
The program is in the path, and I modified it by typing MODIFY COMMAND TESTING.PRG
The path can be either a relative path, or absolute, it still will misbehave.
I issue the full path as part of the MODIFY COMMAND, and it still misbehaves.

If I hit CTRL-E to run the program, it works fine (ie, it asks to save changes, then runs).
It also works properly if I DO TESTING.PRG from the command window.

This behaviour does not happen in VFP6 on this same machine.
